Negative Effects of Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is treading quite fast on the 21st century highway with millions of men sprawling behind it. Actually impotence is not the disease itself, but it can produce deadly effect on relationships and it can also affect mental state as some person feel shy or ignorant due to this thing.

Erectile dysfunction as it is medically termed is a condition when a person is not able to attain or sustain a normal erection for intercourse. There are various medical, physiological or psychological causes responsible for it. But the most common cause is inadequate blood flow to the penis because of damaged nerves, arteries, smooth muscles, and fibrous tissues, which is often a result of a disease.

The effects of impotence can be long lasting and distressing. Men suffering from it habitually become frustrated and angry, which in turn changes everything around them. As consequences relationships get bitter, efficiency suffers, isolation increases and delight slowly but steadily dwindle.

However today, when erectile dysfunction is well understood by almost everyone, certain facts still remain untouched. Although male impotence is quite commonly observed in older men, but that does not men that young men do not stand the risk of falling victim to it. Also we cannot say that age is the only factor for erectile dysfunction. It is all due to the current lifestyle choices and the prevalence of smoking, alcohol and stress, the age factor has well, become redundant. At present, it is not shocking to see a young adult suffering from ED or impotence.

Fortunately, in the last 50 years, there have been some astonishing medical breakthroughs, and one such breakthrough was the launch of Sildenafil Citrate or Viagra in 1998. Since then, other equally potent drugs like Cialis and Levitra have also been launched to treat erectile dysfunction and impotence. And thanks to these drugs, millions of suffering men around the world have been treated successfully.

All of us noticed that men’s sexual health is a complicated affair. And to be able to keep it top score needs a lot of hard work and self-denial from things that can cause an inequality. First and foremost, practicing safe sex is the most important element towards it. Secondly, imbibing healthy habits like exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, refraining from alcohol, smoking and drugs takes it to a different level. With these in place, a man can attain perfect sexual health and also keep impotence at bay.
