When writing, or submitting your articles, always keep in mind the needs of the reader. Please provide good quality information without focusing on selling a product or service. Readers will see right through that approach and be turned off by it. Instead, provide useful, easily readable information and the reader will be anxious to click through to your site to read more, or contact you for more information.

Writing Tips

When a webmaster chooses an article to reprint on their site, they are typically looking for content that search engines will find attractive. Please use the following tips to help make your articles a popular choice.

- Try to keep your articles to a reasonable length - generally around 500 - 800 words.

- Use popular keywords related to your article topic in your copy. Repeat these keywords 3 - 5 times througout your copy.

- Break up your copy into easily readable blocks. While this may not be technically correct paragraph format, this will make your articles much easier to read on the web.

- Spell-check! We're all guilty of this from time-to-time, especially when rushing to write new content..., but get in the habit of spell-checking your articles. A more critical review is a must if you're one that typically mixes up words that would otherwise make it through the spell-checker. I.e., there, their, they're - its, it's, etc.

- Watch your grammar! - While it's true that perfect grammar isn't necessary, or even suggested for good compelling writing, there's still a difference between knowing the rules and breaking them on purpose - and not knowing the rules and having no idea that you're breaking a grammar rule - and the difference is usually obvious when reading an article. A good writer's handbook is a highly recommended resource for anyone who spends time writing.

- Always include a link back to your website. Take advantage of the viral marketing benefits that your articles can bring you. Create a good tag line for each of your articles that includes brief information about you and/or your website.

Please use the full URL to your website, rather than embedding the link using html, or using a partial address.

For example, if your website address was karma-net.org, write the entire address as http://www.articlekarma.com - This will help insure that when your articles are copied, your links will remain intact.

Also, while your links will be "click-able" on our database site, even if you just use www.yoursite.com, we strongly suggest that
you include the "http://". You never know in what format your article will be used - and using the full URL will help provide you with as many backlinks as possible.

- Be Yourself. Have fun with your writing and let your personality shine through. Write as if you're talking to someone and you'll see your articles come alive!
